Foothills Home Services is an approved provider for Alberta Health Services' Client Directed Home Care program. Eligible Albertans receive funding for home care services based on assessments by Alberta Health Services case managers. Choose Foothills Home Services to deliver your care, and we'll handle the billing directly with Alberta Health Services through Client Directed Home Care.

  • Needs can be safely met at home

  • Assessment by an Alberta Health Services case manager

  • Foothills Home Services offers a range of private home care services in Southern Alberta. This includes Calgary, Okotoks, High River, Chestermere, Airdrie, Strathmore, Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Nanton, Blackie, and Vulcan.

  • Our senior-care experts will create a custom care plan to suit you or your senior loved one’s unique needs. This means that in addition to providing private home care in Alberta, caregivers from Foothills Home Services can also provide extra care for people living in senior homes.

  • Foothills Home Services is an approved agency for the Client Directed Home Care program provided by Alberta Health Services. Albertans who qualify for this program receive a set amount of funding that can be used toward their home care services. Alberta Health Services case managers provide comprehensive client assessments and care planning to determine the support services and hours of care eligible to each client. As your home care provider, Foothills Home Services would provide the arranged services and directly bill Alberta Health Services through Client Directed Home Care for reimbursement of the care provided.

  • To qualify for the Client Directed Home Care Program you must be an Alberta resident with a valid health care card whose needs can be safely met in your home and you must meet the requirements determined by an Alberta Health Services case manager.

  • We usually need a day’s notice to care for you or your loved one. We encourage people considering home care to call us ahead of time and start home care sooner rather than later. Among other benefits, this gives the person needing care time to adjust to the new situation and establishes trust with their caregivers in a low-pressure setting. We do, however, understand that emergencies happen. The Foothills Home Services team is ready to give you the support you need when you need it.
